Online options mentors/schools?

I am considering supplementing my learning experience by enrolling in some type of options trading education. Have you used any of the online options schools, mentors, even online courses? I would love to hear your experiences. Can you recommend one, and if not, why not?

Just buy a book.

Best options education you can buy is from books. I recommend "Option Trading" by Euan Sinclair to get started.

EDIT: the book shouldn't be used supplementally, it is a first course in my opinion. I think you could be a very intelligent person and still have the way you trade options drastically changed by one of the good books on the topic.

There is a tonne of information here on ET. I'm sure lots of people have learnt many things from this site (including me).

First thing would be to read a book and I also recommend to go and trade just 1 contract on some options (should only cost around $100) and would be good for you to do whilst getting started.

All my friends who took classes, paid or unpaid, said they weren't helpful. Some even gave $ to the company that conducted classes to invest and ended up lost a lot of money. I took a lot of free classes on options from the brokerage I do business with. They were helpful in explaining how to use their software but not very helpful in making me a better trader.

If I were you, I would buy and read a good book like McMillan.

This am I was also seeking to learn something about Options- The short video clips here were entertaining, very simply presented, and visually informative about some of the very basic concepts- such as illustrating terms-ITM, OTM, Decay up through videos in chapter 4. I did not get to watch the entire series, or learn about strategies. Yet. I'll finish the series , and then perhaps knock the dust off one of those "Free" Options books I sent away for -still sitting on the shelf . I learn better when the instruction is combined with visual content- so I liked this introductory series of short lessons. I am certain there are many other sites out there with free Ed content as well- 1st time i visited this particular site:
https://www.dough.com/courses/stock-trading-101 (goes into Options in the following chapter videos)

Got linked to it in another thread post here on ET discussing Options:

Good Luck in your pursuit!

The TMX has a good educational portal for all levels. It's well done. Either watch short video's or read PDF files.

Good luck :)

I want to get better at trading options, I lack in so many ways even after nearly four years studying and trading them. Although I been profitable in my trades, have found best strikes to use, durations etc, I just want to get better. Found this on net.
