Ongoing Unemployment Drops to Lowest Level Since December 1973

For Piezo, there will be 6 Stages of Grief. The last stage being: Accepting that you are not Canadian. That's going to be a tough one.
I am confident I'm going to get some relief soon. Things are really heating up for Trump based on my Lie-o-Meter which measures how nervous Trump is about the Mueller Investigation. The Lie-o-Meter responds to the outrageousness of the lie times a multiplier that is a measure of the frequency of lying. The latest lies that have the meter moving above 90 are: "Parents of Korean War solidiers were asking me to negotiate the return of their sons remains." ; "The Democrats caused the kids and parents to be separated, I hate it myself"; "The North Korean Nuke problem is taken care of", "I barely knew Manafort, haven't talk to him in long time, he was only involved with the campaign for what, 49 days?" , "I came out looking great in the I.G.'s report" . I'm paraphrasing these lies of course. For exact wording check any recent news cast. They are all over the place. (There is an endless number of equally outrageous lies, especially of late, but I got tired of listing them. One of my all time favorites, besides of course "Mexico will pay for it." is, "We're exporting energy, we never did that before." I mean what kind of an idiot does it take to believe this nonsense, and who would trust a President who speaks nonsense as a habit?)

I wonder what's on Manafort's lunch menu today? :D

The correct formula for assessing your comments is to take Bull-Shittomer reading and multiple it by Stormy Daniel's bra size. That will get you to a quick back of the envelop reading. No need to round it off to more than four decimal places.

Indeed, the mental health issue is the issue.
Speaking of mental health... you posted that it would be "wonderful" if Kim would nuke Trump. You also claimed the U.S. is "by far the worst terrorist nation."

If your Obamacare covers psychiatric care, I strongly advise you to make maximum use of it. :) #caring

I say it for effect.

We have no idea how many trillions the FED creates and then puts out into the world economy each year. But it is such a large amount it created 700 percent inflation the last 40 or 50 years even though there was massive world demand for dollars... (and I believe that is conservative.)

When after we borrow by selling bonds... you would think that is being done to avoid the inflation caused by creating money... Its a big joke on tax payers and savers. Our govt borrows it... only to have the FED crates it for its members benefits instead of tax payers.

If you look at the MMT school of thought you realize that taxes are inflation control when the govt prints the money... but when a govt borrows the money only to have central bankers create... its simply punishment and competition control.

What? Did you honestly say this or was there sarcasm intended?

Why does the government borrow the money by issuing bonds?
If, the Federal Reserve gets to go out and create and spend trillions of dollars anyway...
it makes no sense for tax paying Americans.
Why not just have the govt create and spend the money and bypass the Fed and income taxes?

Until we cease creating money on the side, the only reason we have income taxes is to remove the money from those who have it so the banking cronies can snap up all the important assets.

As you know, they report several different measures. This is as accurate as anyone has been able to do since the redefining of who is in the workforce back in 1994 (I believe it was, you can research the date if you're interested, my guess is that Wiki will have this information.)

You should probably look into how countries in Europe, as an example, report (or used to report) these statistics before saying "this is as accurate as anyone has been able to do" or some equally ridiculous crap. The statistics are flawed, intentionally.

Uh, maybe because to directly link the Fed to printing for the Treasury is to invite hyperinflation? You know, as has been proven many times throughout history?

You may think the Fed just prints with reckless abandon, but I assure you this is not the case. I'm not condoning the Fed's action but to suggest they could just print directly for the US government is inherently dangerous and irresponsible.

you gave the econ 101 answer. which I knew.

I am not talking about theory of why would take printing out of the govt hands. I am talking about why we are taking printing out of the govt hands but letging private bankers create money for themselves and their member banks... anyway.

and as far as you giving assurances... We have no idea how much money the FED systems is creating. They don't even give us M3 anymore. not since 2005...

So why are we letting private banks create trillions...and then lever it up to trillions and trillions... and still collecting income taxes... the govt spending a few trillions would be a drop in the bucket.

here is something you should take a look at.

The Credit Market Funnel
Suppose the U.S. Treasury prints up $10 billion in new bills, and the Federal Reserve credits an additional $90 billion in readily liquefiable accounts. At first, it might seem like the economy just received a monetary influx of $100 billion, but that is actually only a very small percentage of the actual money creation.

This is because of the role of banks and other lending institutions that receive new money. Nearly all of that extra $100 billion enters banking reserves. Banks don't just sit on all of that money, even though the Fed now pays them 0.25% interest to just park the money with the Fed Bank. Most of it is loaned out to governments, businesses and private individuals.

The credit markets have become a funnel for money distribution. However, in a fractional reserve banking system, new loans actually create even more new money. With a legally required reserve ratio of 10%, the new $100 billion in bank reserves could potentially result in a nominal monetary increase of $1 trillion.
