I had to be out as it's long vol/tails. Right now ofc it was the right decision but even if it traded 100 or 140 I'd not have earned if I had held through the report.

I am reading about calendars, their vega and root time movement of the term.

When you say root time neutral for your position, do you mean that you are not actually looking to exploit term structure "non root movement"?
