Except for one time in the keys 3 years ago, I hadn't ridden a bike in over 50 years. Was at Play it Again Sports and saw this really nice bike...Giant Cypress DX, $100.
Anyway I had to go to a local bike shop for some tires and I'm walking around looking at all the bikes.
Holy Cow! I think the cheapest was $1200. Some over $10,000. A lot looked like your bike with the big tires. A couple were electric, but not really noticeable.
Got a Felt E-bike 3 years ago. You still have to pedal, but it has low to high assist levels. Great when you are tired, or it's 98 degrees, or you are 63yo like me! Little spendy, $3,000 but I'm worth it. At least in my own mind!

The salesman/storeowner said the 25km/hr top speed was limited, it can actually do 45km/hr with a tweak in there somewhere. (Just under 30mph).
I already own a Specialized Mountain bike, had it maybe 15 years now and in my 20's -30's did lots of motorcycle dirt bike riding in NZ as in those days enjoyed deer hunting and lived in forestry towns, was single then.
When I was single my girlfriend had a mountain bike too, she would ride topless through the bush with me. The Watercorporation own land in the hill, not meant to be in there, but that sort of thing never stopped me then, so great bush roads in the trees and you could shag in amongst the trees knowing no one was gonna bother you.

Today took a short bike trip from home to the beach thru the scrub. (I think Americans call it brush).

Nearly there, heavy going thru the sand, a 4x4 would struggle if not impossible as it gets quite steep and soft. Too far to walk from road unless you're a tiger for punishment.

I see in the first picture how all the development is set way way back.
That's good. Those dunes harbor an incredible eco-system.
