On Spelling

Quote from nutmeg:

Speaking for myself but the devil is in the details. This is a detail oriented business. Spelling is detail. Incorrect use of the word loose, loosing and looser takes away credibility from the author. What other details might the author have missed if spelling doesn't count?
Yup.

Quote from Thunderdog:

However, the user should know when he is employing it, which is very unlikely to be the case in these forums.

Literary license or mutated plagiarism or libel? This particular user ( the spelling expert? and grammar dilettante) would not only not know "when he is employing it" but sadly does not possess the mental acuity to differentiate between the above three. It's like being in a body of water that's deep (over his head) without the ability to swim, aka a metaphor for trying to do something he's not prepared to handle.

Quote from Thunderdog:

As reasonably intelligent adults, we really should know how to spell in English if it is our principal language. I suspect that there are more good spellers here at ET than there are good traders, but I see no reason for the two to be mutually exclusive. Just a thought.

Given your noble efforts in cleaning up ET from the ravages of misspelled words and incorrect grammar. I'm thinking maybe your alias should have been Deputy Dawg

:D
