I pay $400 per hour
If he finds a problem I get off less than 1k
If it's fundamentally sound it costs a lot
And the analysis doesn't stop just because you bought it
I don't advise any individual to trade individual stocks unless he can devote about 16 hours day to it
but then again, I don't advise anybody to trade anything they can't devote their life to

A very short amount of time to choose/analyze what stock(s) to trade -- but if you want to get technical...a very long amount of time to come to that realization point.
Depends on how much you're going to invest. Big positions should probably get more research. Small positions might get a little or even none.
