Anyone cooking beans from scratch - add a couple of bay leaves. It makes them more digestible and therefore less gassy. I also think rinsing helps but I don't always do it.
Also - nobody has mentioned it but eating cultured foods is great for your digestion. I'm a fan of kimchi.
I used to eat Natto, but can't handle it any more. I lived in Tokyo for 6 months and was surprised that nobody ate it there. I think it was regional (Okinawa). My wife does all this from scratch in the processor. Also have a commercial VitaMix.
