Older Men who Date Younger Women?

Something I have noticed in college..... is a strong attraction many girls have for older guys.

It's remarkable how many girls have stories of past boyfriends being older than them, some much older. Such as HS freshman dating HS senior. Or 16 and dating a 21 yr old. One girl said she thought she was so cool when she was 15 and dating a guy who was 23 and had a car, his own money, apartment, etc.

It's interesting because you rarely see the opposite.... such as HS senior girl dating freshman boy. Its uncommon to find girls dating younger guys. Most seem to prefer guy same age or couple yrs older.

There is one guy in one of my classes from last semester.... non traditional student.... late 30's. He is now dating a 19 yo girl from that class. She had a boyfriend from her home town but broke up with him over the summer for this guy. She is a pretty girl... tall, slender, and long blonde hair. There are some people who don't approve, and I happen to see one time where the guy got into a shouting match with a couple of guys who had made comments to him about dating her.

The mind of a woman, when their looks go down the drain, their demands go through the roof. IMO there's some self protective psychology behind this, deep down inside they know they're done, so they raise demands to crazy levels.

I don't know. These women are good looking and in great shape. They have money, play sports and are smart. I think they are at the stage where they aren't willing to settle. If they can't have a fantasy guy, they are ok with no guy. It's not like they need a guy for anything other than sex, and that doesn't seem to be a high priority with them. Anyway, they can always get that if they want it.
 
Sounds like they are middle class and need a guy to move to upper class. At their age it ain't gonna happen.

Time for a story...

A young guy in his 20s goes to a bar and strikes up a conversation with an attractive woman who is older than 40. After a few drinks he agrees to go back to her place.

Once they step in the door, she asks if he's into a mother / daughter special.

"Oh, yes" he responds.

"Mom get down here," she shouts up the steps.
 
I play in a band and the guitar player has had a string of attractive girlfriends not even half his age. We have talked about it and my advise has been to enjoy it for as long as he can. He has no intention of settling down to start a family so the very young women work well in that they are not putting pressure on him to settle down. That being said, these relationships have not lasted long and the women are pretty much what you would expect from a 20 year old.

As for myself, I have a 2 year old child with a women who is about my age and she has a son from a previous marriage (father is deceased). We get along and she is pretty much the hottest woman I have been with and we have produced a beautiful child together. Whether you are with someone half your age or someone double your age, there has to be a strong sexual attraction IMO..Especially when kids are involved and the demands of family life come in to play. I recall being at the beach one day and watching this severely overweight woman with a couple of small children in tow screaming at her husband. I felt sorry for this dude as he looked like he just wanted to be put out of his misery. I can't imagine being that dude.

The bottom line is just do what makes you happy. Who cares what anyone thinks.

I don't know about dating older or younger girls, but i just like to date girls the same age as me (give or take 1-2 years) as we're mostly the same emotionally and physically
