Actually I scalped it long, but then was pissed I wasnt lucky
enough to stay in longer for more profit :D

I dont think so...What happens if his bid gets hit and they rock his world?? so It may be but i dont think anything can be done.....seems like houses do the same thing thru ecn's...

Hmm a real buyer? The specialist? Multiple buyers going through the specialist?

Could have easily been the specialist picking up as much as he could right before buy market orders came in, which he obviously knew about..

Now, come on...this is done all the time...I sat with my bootcampers today and showed them hpq for a few minutes.. not only did they show 100k a few times, but traded more than that a few times...and the stock didn't move more than a nickel up and down ...(that was the weird part!)....

They show it if they think they can sell / buy it...

Stop back in again when you're in town....:-)

Anybody remember NYSE trading in 1/8s?
A stock like HPQ would display "triple 9's up on the screen".
HPQ trades 17MM a day so is 100k out loud even significant?
 
Really tired of hearing you defend NYSE, Don, YOU LOOKING TO REPLACE GRASSO OR SOMETHING??
