OK, give me your 2, 3 or 4 securities (stocks, CEFs, ETFs) that long term you think would do best

Yes, FUNDS. Yes, they hold STOCKS. Can you not put 2 and 2 together and see what I am trying to do here? I'm trying to see if anyone can come up with funds that, put them together, one offsets another, etc. etc., and they beat the QQQs on a return/risk ratio. Doing that with stocks is kind of pointless because a stock is too narrow, the race would just be to find the stock that went up the most in the past. But chances are slim and none that will be the best going forward. Funds hold many securities so that risk, while it is still there, is at least somewhat smaller.

Come on man, sometimes you just have to figure things out... its not that hard, really...

Bold call vanzandt, I'll be watching! The stock does seem overprices as hell. But with recession coming, maybe it should be as business about to go up? We shall see!

Don't you understand that when you start a thread, the title of the thread defines the subject matter at hand?

Why don't you report your own thread to a mod to delete it, and start over with a new thread, titled to what you REALLY meant to say? Something about funds that do not involve stocks or ETFs or whatever?

Learn some Icelandic, and learn some perspective.

That is not how you report a thread to the mods. You don't just type "Mods, please do this or that with a thread" in the thread itself. You click the report label under the post you wish to report, and in there, you make the comment on why you want the action taken in the thread.
