Open Interest is one day delayed.
So it didn't really changed overnight.
It changed according to yesterday's activity.
And yesterday's OI refere to last Friday's activity.
Are you sure about the one delay? Any reference to official rules?
I just can't see any reason why it should be delayed.
Is the volume delayed as well?
But it is exactly the opposite: OI gets updated, but not the volume...K-Pia is correct. The reported OI remains constant during the day and is updated after trading. Volume, should be as expected.
