Actually you are wrong calling his comparison BS.
My wife and I paid $364/month with $10K deductible.
Odumbocare had us paying $1000/month and a $12,700 deductible.
So we would go from just over $4K/year in premiums to $12K/year. And deductible increasing by 27%.
And for the record the old plan covered annual physicals, associated routine bloodwork, mammogram, prostate exam and colonoscopies for both of us at NO COST. We would gain nothing under an Odumbocare plan. We'd be forced to buy crap we do not want, need or ever could use such as maternity coverage, pediatric dental, pediatric vision, mental health crap. We would be FORCED to fork out an extra $11K/year if we hit our deductible. And if we only paid premiums we'd be penalized just under $8K, or an increase in monthly premiums of 175%. Of course we're in the minority ... the roughly 10% who do not get subsidies. And in the other minority of 30% who are NOT overweight or obese. Funny how Odumbo wants to penalize those who (1) take care of themselves physically and (2) who work hard and reward those who are (1) slackers and (2) slobs.
