Oh No, NOT Another S&P EMini journal...

Quote from goodday:

Was too lazy this morning to post pre-3.00 AM results.
SO, I lumped trades upto 8.30 AM below:

Long 144 contracts ESU
closed for profit $5437.50

Don't worry about what folks here have to say.

You know where you are going with this.

So just do what you have to do.

Trades from 12.00 Noon to 2.00 PM (EST):

Short 60 contracts

Flat before the FOMC announcement.

Sorry, I was too eager to get an early start on my long holiday and did not update the trades for the last trading day - Thursday. SO here is the summary for the day.

Total contracts traded = 300
Total Profits for the day = $2600 LOSS.

This was definitely a very bad day. I expected the market to go down and close the gap first and then head up north. When it started going up without the down move, I did not change my directional bias but expected the market would reverse any minute. Bad move. I should never predict the market, just follow it.

Just watching the market to see if the Emini will find a bottom and reverse to the long side around 1270..... or continue lower below the 1272-1270 area to close the gap around 1258.

... nah, it was a very good day, gd.

just learn the lessons that the market has to teach you.

she (or he, however you view the collective entity which is made up of all of the individuals/institutitions/governments that trade) can be unmerciful to the point of appearing to be cruel when you (see above) don't learn the lessons that she has to teach.

but when you learn them, and follow her lead, your rewards can be extraordinary.

best,

jimmy

all gaps are closed eventually ... emphasis on "eventually".

while i'm sure it's something to be aware of, i'm not sure that it's something to trade by
