If I am losing at a rate of 1$/pip, realistically what is the total amount I can actually lose? What is the EURUSD realistic low?
Parity, means a loss of 2988 further from where I am. A drop to 0 means a further $10,000. So, my total potential loss is $12988 + $108 - my current profits. How likely is it that the EURUSD his headed to 0.

Only if you accept the attitude that a directional trade is a gamble. I don't believe it is. I believe you can predict direction just as you can predict weather. Beside every prediction is attached a probability. Saturday: Rain 80%.
For example: 30% chance of Interest rates going up in USA. Bad for the economy. Good for the dollar. Can we attach a possible probability to the EURUSD falling after such an announcement? I think we can.

I'm not limiting myself to one direction. Recently, I have chosen to be long, but if there is clear trend I will modifiy my direction. Look at the weekly chart. We're still deeply stuck in a range. In a range, either direction is equally valuable.
