A good deal of those regulations in Dodd-Frank actually passed on tons of costs to the little guy. I'd be cautious in claiming they were protecting your average Joe. You want to make markets safer and protect the little guy a bit more? How about reinstating Glass Steagall that Clinton repealed.

..yes, the Clinton Admin lobbied for the commodities act. They didn't unwittingly sign it in the dead of night.
