Oh Joy! •Second Stimulus Package Should Now Be Considered, Obama Adviser Tyson Says

Quote from TGregg:

I wish I were as optimistic. The MSM will certainly push for it. And the people seem far more interested in the funeral of Jackson than of anything having to do with government or the economy. It'll be harder than last time but still doable, I'm afraid.

Eventually the tap will run dry and our government won't be able to borrow any more. Then what are we going to do?

Maybe that needs to happen. Maybe a national blowup of monumental proportions will finally destroy the whole idea of big government and allow us to get back to where we need to be.

Let me get this straight....

Instead of a broad based tax cut to ALL Americans, thus stimulating the economy, they would rather raise taxes on the worker and instead spend trillions on a stimulus program that would reward the largest campaign donors?

It's disgusting, isn't it?

In 50 years, we'll look back at the movie 'Idiocracy' and be amazed at its predictive value.

At least it's a funny movie.
Not so sure about living it for real tho...there weren't any people left with an IQ over 70. What'd they do with all the smart folk...shoot em?

Government knows how to spend your money MUCH better than you do!

you don't have go that far..at this pace a decade will be more than enough.
more tv and electrolytes!

The professor at the University of California’s Walter A. Haas School of Business downplayed worries from China and other countries with dollar reserves that the U.S. will let inflation soar as the deficit expands.

“The concern is that the U.S. will have to inflate away its debt. I do not think that is a valid concern,” she said. “The Federal Reserve is not going to let the U.S. government inflate away its debt.”

Of course he'd say that because he doesn't know shit. Ask any economist and they'll tell you the exact opposite. What a true dipshit.

First of all, Andrea Tyson is not a "he".
She is a professor at the University of California at Berkeley at the Walter Haas School of Business, of which I am an alum.

Second of all, everyone here on ET seems to think that the stimulus package has already hit the "streets" of the Economy. Not true.

Do some research and you will see that a majority of it (is back-end loaded) and hasn't even "hit" yet and won't even begin until September, and in 2010 in earnest.
