Kavanaugh's drinking history, the source said, which has come up in the allegations, is not part of the probe, which was being managed by the FBI's security division at the agency's headquarters in Washington.
While President Donald Trump declared Saturday that the FBI would have "free rein" in its investigation, people close to the matter say the scope is far more limited. White House counsel Don McGhan, who is the administration's leading advocate for Kavanaugh's confirmation, is overseeing the probe for the President and working closely with Senate Republican leaders.
A person familiar with the matter told CNN that Senate Republicans drafted the initial list of people it wanted the FBI to interview in the investigation and gave the list to the White House. The source noted that it was not a final list and that they were leaving open the possibility of additional witnesses.
As of Sunday morning, there was no indication that the FBI was going to talk to Swetnick.
Two Republican sources familiar with the matter have told CNN that the hope is that when investigators sit down with Judge, they will ask him not only about Ford's allegations, but also about those made by Swetnick.

Dont get confused here. You would be the accused. It is Ford who is asking for more time.
If you are the accused, dont be surprised if you suddenly started saying that maybe after 36 years that she had enough time to surface her allegation.

Comey, who was fired by President Trump in May 2017, conceded that an investigation that must be wrapped up by Friday was better than no investigation at all. But he also wrote that "the process is deeply flawed, and apparently designed to thwart the fact-gathering process."
"If truth were the only goal, there would be no clock, and the investigation wouldn’t have been sought after the Senate Judiciary Committee already endorsed the nominee," Comey wrote. "Instead, it seems that the Republican goal is to be able to say there was an investigation and it didn't change their view, while the Democrats hope for incriminating evidence to derail the nominee."

The Clown wants to see Trump indicted and prosecuted and he knows that Kavanaugh has expressed doubts about whether a sitting president can be indicted.

The other thing, of course, is that Comey, McCabe and half a dozen others, minimum, are at risk of being prosecuted and end out with their cases they may end out going up to the court- so they dont want Kavanaugh there.
Some of those FBI types- particularly Rosenswamp- have been the beneficiaries of this intense focus on Kavanaugh which has taken the focus off them. But the Kavanaugh thing will be settled some time in the next two weeks and sure enough they will go back to getting more attention than they want, especially since the release of the stuff that Trump declassified will be picking up speed about then.
McCabe's indictment should be coming along sometime before Christmas too.
