offer lower than the bid..

hi all

fairly new to IB's trader workstation platform

any idea why on this fairly illiquid UK stock the Ask price is quoted lower than the bid? see attachment

last traded price is also 174.. (so would assume real ask/offer should be 175 ish)??

also checked the level 2 screen and couldnt see the source of this quote - nothing showed up


am clearly being dense

ask IB, seems like a data problem from exchange (LSE side for some stocks),

since in T&S bid-ask are visible on the last column and also on your first attachment on the left side, bid-ask size is given.
 
yeah - i tried trading at this ask price and it didnt execute

IB will be able to answer you think?


one other issue that im having is for large caps (e.g. RBS) the LSE data subscription isnt enough?
also need Turquoise subscription for realtime prices?#

yes. make sure you are talking to the trading desk,not some regular CS. call them,not via chat or email. they got some knowledgeable people (at least at the trading desk,based on my experience)

is there is any pop up message or whatever? if not-open your audit file and see what's in there. if your order was rejected for some reason-it should be in audit file
 
What time of the day was it? Based on the chart in your picture, it was after 4pm, is that right? If so, you can get all kinds of weird bid/ask info on stocks you can't trade in the aftermarket.
