Odds Czar: Simple Biases In the Futures Market: 2008

Art's futures biases for July 8.

A "1" means bullish bias. A "-1" means bearish bias. The total is the sum of biases. A positive sum will be long bias. A negative sum will be a short bias. A sum of zero will be a neutral bias.

The CzarCharts are saying that Thursday should see continued down action in the indices. The signals are also negative for bonds, which is interesting considering the two have been having an inverse relationship of late.

The indices should decline on Friday, lone dissenting second- box-buy signal notwithstanding. Aside from a majority of negative indicators, we have been in a decidedly up-and-back market of late and God forbid there should be any upside follow-through on Thursday's 81 point rally.

There are no complexes for Wednesday that are not conflicted. The Russell is a clear sell signal in and of itself though and recent history suggests that sometime during the day, the market is bound to be down. As a strict system player though, I will be sitting the day out.
