Odd Lots on Nasdaq with IB

Detection of orders meant to game the system shouldn't be that hard....supposedly banks have ways to detect people moving amounts just under the $10,000 limit....

Of course this officially confirms my worst fears that IB is constantly changing things on their end of the system without any notification or apparently without much forethought. Come on guys, ever heard of market research? Did the guy who created New Coke leave Coca Cola to head IB?

1. I am not sure I understood the compromise idea which IBj stated; i.e. will it yes or not be possible to place odd lot orders?

2.
Quote from stock777: The pitiful thing is, YOUR order can still be odd lotted, you just cant do it to the other guy.
Then what does one do to close the position?

3. Note odd lot orders are very useful for customers who place trigger orders, which allows us to leave in big options orders at any given time.

i just tried an odd lot with ib to see if it took the order an it did

IB unrolled the odd-lot change yesterday. Hopefully they don't decide to reinstate it in the future.
