Rangebound and false breakouts like this morning is nothing new. What is new is that three times this morning I saw a huge imbalance in the order book. Lowish hundreds ten deep on the bid, over 1000 lots per price ten deep on the offer, and vice versa.

That isn't the usual spoofing around mid-market, it's either a new spoofer in much bigger size or something very odd going on.

Ideas, anyone?

The imbalances were visible in both directions, so I don't think that's it.

Thanks. I feel better. I assume some of what I saw here yesterday was expiry related. Had all the hair up for many crazy reasons I guess. I really thought we we're going over the edge. The news was just horrible. Real glad Asia didn't sell.
