Oct 7th debate! Go at it!

Quote from CaptainObvious:

I'm calling it here right now...unless they have a pic of Obama spewing jizz on some white girl, hitting a crack pipe, or laughing while the towers fell, he'll destroy Mac in a landslide.
Obama won't get my vote, but it doesn't look like he'll need it.

that made my day thanks man lol

It was funny how McCain repeatedly claimed "Reagan, my hero" --- when thinking about the economic crisis and Greenspan. :D

Also, McCain managed to say "Another hero of mine - Teddy Kennedy" ... and the constant use of the expression "my friends."

McCain is already dead in the water... even another terrorist attack could not save him now.

You have an appropriate handle, as you are stating what at this point in time is obvious. You have not gone out on any limb.
John McCain showed class and was very presidential last night. I like Obama and he wii be president someday, but not this round. These elections under normal conditions are decided with thin margins. Throw in the race factor and a maverick quasi Democrat-like Republican and the surprise landside will be the other way. At least 6% of the Dems are racist enough not to vote for Obama, I think that study is way off and the number will be more like 20%. Obama is peaking early, the Dem's are always ahead in early October , only to have a very close result come election night. Obama is up 5% right now,Kerry and Gore had bigger leads at this point.
Jimmy Carter was up 30% in early October.
The only poll that really counts is the Market, ever since Obama took the lead in the polls the Market has had one of the biggest sustained selloffs in history. So if you want an out on a limb prediction, here it is, "McCAIN WILL WIN WITH 51% PLUS, A LANDSLIDE FINISH

I would say Obama won debate 2. McCain really did look old and a bit doddering from time to time. I was expecting him to excel in this format but he didn't.

And it was VERY noticeable that he would not shake Obama's hand. McCain seems to feel about Obama the same way he felt about Romney during the GOP debates. However, in a contest where both are slinging mud, he cannot claim the high ground. Instead it comes across as petulant.

I think he knows he is toast after debate #2. He has only 1 chance left to pull the tide in his favor, and with the economy in the tank there is only a slim chance he can.

You want a out on a limb prediction? Obama will win with no less than 340 electoral votes!

You seem convinced. Let's put a stake behind it. If McCain loses, will you agree to retire your current ET handle and return with a new one? If not, then your bold proclamations are just self-indulgent gusts of hot air.

Quote from CaptainObvious:

Mac just isn't providing a compelling argument to vote for him. For the shallow and superficial voter,(that's damn near every swing voter), Obama looks more polished and presidential.
I'm calling it here right now...unless they have a pic of Obama spewing jizz on some white girl, hitting a crack pipe, or laughing while the towers fell, he'll destroy Mac in a landslide.
Obama won't get my vote, but it doesn't look like he'll need it.

Edit: I'd be remiss if I didn't provide what the compelling argument should be. An Obama victory most likely means a sweep in the house and senate. Those leftist dinosaurs on the supreme court will finally retire and the court will go radical left for the next 25 years. What does that mean? It means illegal immigrants will get every benefit the government has to offer. That is, and will continue to bankrupt this nation. It means that every thug can expect minimum sentence and early release. It means the failed public school system will get worse. It means terrorists will have more rights than our combat troops. It means there will be no nuke plants and industry in general will be bankrupted by absurd emission standards that no other country will have to comply with.
We are, and will continue our race towards mediocrity on every front with a vote for Obama.

Agreed on all points.

I couldn't stand the debate, caught only a couple of minutes. Obama was extremely polished, and that suit and tie he had on were killer.

McCain was a disaster in my limited viewing. He needs to stop with the "my friends" routine. I flipped to Ultimate Fighting whenhe started blabbering about some idiotic proposal to apparently have the government buy up every mortgage in default and renegotiate it. I think Hillary originally came up with that.

The way I look at it, we are in such deep shit that whoever wins will be the loser.

How about we just duke it out at the Viet nam memorial. It would be an honor to kick some liberal pinkos ass in front of those great Americans.

TUF is tonight on Spike!
It looks like a violent season...

McCain is just geriatric in every sense of the word. Between Palin and him, there is at least some sense of "erecting".
