Occupy Wall Street

Quote from MKTrader:

This is correct. One girl interviewed was a college student, maxed-out in loans, who "just wants to know she'll have a secure job and something better than beans & rice to eat" (or something like that). Well, go get a part-time job or three, or just stop working on your liberal (arts?) degree until you can afford it.

For the most part, they weren't protesting the real problems (wasteful stimulus/pork spending, bailouts, Fed, etc). It's just the scummy WTO protesting crowd, who has nothing better to do with their time.

Ditto. Or take your misguided loan money and put it in a f'ing brokerage account (with enough to match the day trading minimum)... I told a homeless guy (think he was homeless) today when I wrote him a cheque.

Wasting money on magic markers and cardboard,,,ppffttttttt.

Quote from GordonTheGekko:

One guy said he had a job, but quit to join the rally. Losers!

That's real dedication, what a hero. No more payin taxes and feedin the corporate machine!

I'm watching the movie meltdown. In Iceland, the leader told the protestors to go home and come back with pots and pans, bang them around to make a lot of noise. We should do that here.

People know Wallstreet fucked them. And now, the stupid, ignorant sheep are doing something about it. I think this is a harbinger of things to come. Most of the protesters are idealistic college kids and U99'ers with too much time on their hands. It doesn't mean they're wrong, however...

There are plenty of real issues -- crony capitalism, bailouts, non-solutions like Dodd-Frank that create more problems/costs, etc. However, these protestors appear to be nothing more than free-loading socialists who are upset about so-called man-made global warming, among other things. They be perfectly happy if they received more handouts and none of the systemic problems were fixed.
