Occupy Wall Street

Quote from wilburbear:

The protesters may be able to "go one better".

A dozen *Marines* in Michigan are on their way to NYC, in uniform, to protect the protestors, which they feel is their duty (to protect Americans from physical harm). That's kind of wild.

These Marines have also made a call to other Marines to join them!
Not a new thing. Many WWI vets camped in DC, protesting for promised pay.
Shootings ensued.
Not good.

They are arresting everyone on the Brooklyn Bridge one by one. I just saw a little girl get arrested. It's all peaceful. Must be for blocking traffic. Lame excuse for arresting everyone.

I second the media black out. There actually arent that many people on the streets, certainly not as many as the muni thing on San Francisco earlier in August (my departure flight was that week) ...could be because of the media/stakeholders on wall street.

Although oreilly nonchantly covered it with Watters last night or the nighht before.

Truly theyre a bunch of idiots, and their message is a melting pot of strange ideals. Its too bad the more modate liberals dont understand that I do not know of one hedge fund manager who doesot want to make the world a better place.

And when a Congressman showed up - Rep. Charles Rangel, who told protesters, "We have to take our country back" - demonstrators made it clear government isn't working.

"You, sir, have no business being here - you're part of the problem," they retorted.

lmao....:D :D :D

Lol is this true? :( Poor charlie!

that one little line about Charles Wrangle will probably be all it takes to get Fox news on the story, but the protesters just lost whatever support they thought they might get from the rest of the media

They've been covering it everyday on Link TV

otherwise, someone needs to settle once and for all this debate about whether corporations are people or not

when we bail out GM we're bailing out people who need jobs, when we bail out banks were bailing out corporations
