I have said several times in recent months that if Trump falls below a certain level that he will be challenged by Rubio in the primary.

A statement which has been scoffed at and spit upon and leads to lecturettes about why they would not vote for Rubio and why he is a loser- NONE OF WHICH CHANGES THE FACT THAT HE WILL PRIMARY TRUMP IF TRUMP FALLS BELOW A CERTAIN LEVEL, or if the dems nominate one of the ultra old ones.

I stand by that. Those who want to spit on me for saying it, know where I am.

The Republican National Committee’s resolutions group passed a resolution effectively canceling the GOP primary in 2020.

“RNC Resolutions Committee just voted unanimously to “undivided support” for Trump and his “effective presidency,” clearing way for passage before full GOP governing body on Friday,” tweeted Associated Press reporter Zeke Miller.

I don't consider the decision stupid at all and would gladly do it again if the choices were Trump and Hillary. I don't like Trump at all, but we got two conservative justices on the SCOTUS and that alone was worth the vote. Even if Trump did nothing else for the rest of the time he was in office.
The fact that he makes you guys go nuts is a bonus.

As I said, none of us like admitting we've done something incredibly stupid.

How low would his approval need to go? He’s at 83% among republicans. That’s still high even off it’s super high of 90%.

Yeh I saw that and it will be interesting and a real canary in the coalmine to see where they end out. That is just a subcommittee vote so I don't join with you in declaring the primary dead yet. They had better handle that final decision very, very carefully though because lots of republicans may support trump but still want to see a vigorous primary.

You gonna have some serious, serious, serious grousing and grumbling among republicans if you dont allow for challengers. No doubt it is the right decision for the RNC but that does not necessarily translate into the right decision for republicans. Same way that the DNC made some decisions that were right for the DNC but basically destroyed the party, fucked bernie over etc. Be careful. Be vewwy, vewwy careful here. That would be my message to the RNC.

The point being that even if there is no primary, you gotta pile of people out there who want one, so does the lack of a primary shore up unity or just leave a pile of grousing voters who may drift away. We shall see. I dont know to make old broken down antiquated structures like the DNC or RNC work so it sort of leaves me flaccid. I just assume they will shoot themselves in the foot. As the DNC did in mistreating bernie, as the RNC did in mistreating trump and becoming the last group to support him and so on. I am sure they will vote on the issue of holding a primary and do what is the most stupid.

It's very logical, even if you can't see it. Hillary was the establishment. I disliked Trump greatly, and I liked that Bernie was going to disrupt the system - or he claimed he would. When you remove him and place Trump against Hillary, there is only one choice left if you want to disrupt the system.

I might be able to make a coloring book if you want me to further simplify it, but no promises.

That's not corrupt, that's supporting the head of their party. If the RNC wanted to emulate Democrat corruption, they would hold the primary and then fix it so Trump won! You know, like they did with Hillary.

Anyone casting a vote would've weighted the appointment of at least two SCOTUS. One open seat, and at least one death/retirement.

My criticism isn't how you cast your vote, it's about how both candidates are polar opposites, which tells me you don't care about policy and are just curious about anarchy, if your main argument was to "disrupt".
