Smoke and mirrors is what they do. Once a real investigation begins this will circle back to the Clintons who arm twisted Lynch, who then influenced Comey to do an amateur look-see and embarrass himself and the entire system of justice in that July 5th press conference. They mistakenly thought that would be the end of it because they were so sure that Hillary would win and a Clinton administration would not be looking any further. Trump wins and now they need a distraction from the real obstruction, vote tampering and collusion perpetrated by the democrats. Brainstorming and desperation brings them to this laughable Russian conspiracy and here we are. Russian conspiracy theory is running out of steam and Comey drops this Lynch bombshell, and does it under oath in front of the entire nation. Maybe the guy is a republican operative, or maybe his head is so full of lies that he just can't keep the story straight and this tidbit of truth slipped out.

The funny thing about the ridiculous argument from the left that Trump was obstructing justice is that Trump could have just walked up to Comey and said at any time, "Im pardoning Flynn" The president has the right to do this, so even if Trump told them to shut an investigation down, as president he has the right to do that as long as its not an investigation into himself. The libs are going to be thoroughly disappointed once again when nothing comes of this.

I don't think the argument is ridiculous.Trump can indeed parden Flynn but that would be politically damaging and for trump it would be much better for Comey to drop the case than Trump pardoning a member of his team convicted of a crime.

I don't think the president has the right to shut down federal investigations
