So here's an interesting question I just saw being posed. If you are up for jury selection can you give this cop the presumption of innocence? I don't think there is a single person who has seen that video and then honestly answer yes to that question. Can this man get a fair trial? More to the point, does he deserve one? Our entire legal system is in question here. This is a debate which will have everyone questioning what is fair, and just doing what needs doing. Anarchy smiles in the shadows and this is how it happens.
No doubt his attorney will be looking for a change of venue too which makes sense but most likely will be denied. While I do hope that the officer rots in hell, I also believe that he would be entitled to a change of venue for a fair trial.
Minnesota officials on CNN right now with lots of tuff talk saying this shit will end tonight. We'll see. Anarchists swarming in from all over the world, thousands of them. But now Klobu - a key player in the criminal justice system there with oversight and review of police activities wants the justice department to come in and do a review (I think Barr is already looking at it Amy and your office might already be in the crosshairs too).
