Right. You don’t really have a point. You’re just pointing to something you barely know about to run away as quick as you can.

The civil rights act of 1964 more benefitted white women than any other class. Their gains have held up over time, not so much for minorities. The justice system stripes the protections for employment from many people who commit poverty crimes. The voting rights act has been gutted by SCOTUS and Gerrymandering and red lining marginalized representation.

We hold on to these laws because it’s all there is in many states but they have been diluted and weakened. We need stronger laws.

Are you claiming that the U.S. Constabulary did not police their section of Germany from 1946 to 1948? At that time it was basically their entire mission. There were other troop present dealing with the Soviets.

You keep going farther and farther from the original argument.We were not killing thousands of innocent Germans like we were in Iraq,Afghanistan and Vietnam.Germany wanted us there to stop Russia from taking over. Iraq and Afghanistan did not want The US there and a very small portion of the population used violence to get us out,not peaceful protest.

"Germany" did not want us there to stop the Soviet Union. "Germany" had no government at the time directly after WW2 therefore "Germany" could not want anything. We were an occupying military force responsible for feeding and policing a civilian population.

My point is that to have any sort of legislation passed is a big deal. Schools and society were desegregated. While not perfect, it was a big leap forward. Talk to any civil rights leader of the 1960's...ask them if progress was made.
