What you are is an angry joke for posting this. Take that to the fuckin' bank.

And thank you for demonstrating that the radical right has useful idiots like the radical left. I know, I know, you're an independent. Save it, we know what you are.

He's Damien ....

Failures? I'm the son of a Russian immigrant, legal I might add, that is living better than I ever would have imagined while growing up. I simply have not forgotten where I came from and have enough of a sense of gratitude and obligation to see that those that come after me have the same opportunity. They don't, and they won't so long as this disproportion continues. No reasonable person expects the business tycoons to invest just for the hell of it. There's nothing wrong with profits, good profits. Some of those profits can be kept for personal use while the rest is re-invested towards growth of their business. That's capitalism at it's best. What we have now is not capitalism. It is the financial rape of the work force while keeping every last dime for themselves. It's gaming the system in such a way that profits are privatized while losses are socialized. It's corporate and government corruption at a level that borders on crimes against humanity.

yet the Soviet Union showed you that socialist government stifles opportunity. Business tycoons typically do reinvest, see Gates, Allen, and Buffet for examples. Wall street bankers are not really business tycoons, yet the government bailed them out- another strike against gov't run anything.

The work force is being raped by the government much worse than by any business, and it is being raped in the all in the name of fairness. There are now just as many people on the government dole as there are working, and to support them requires massive taxes and/or debt. The democrats have discovered their power, handing out government cash. The death spiral is in full force.

Has it occurred to you that maybe I just believe in people paying their own way?

What's disturbing and a bad omen for our society is how vehemently ( if not savagely) this idea is attacked and ridiculed.

Bad times are coming if this attitude dominates for too long.

Quite honestly you have to have a screw loose to not see big govt redistributing wealth from producers to the parasite class and big govt conspiring to protect big businesses from competition as equally detestable.

Hint: IMHO you seem a little myopic.

OK, lemme get this straight... you're an angry loser who threatens to shoot "bluebloods" in the back:

You bet your ass I'm angry, and I've got plenty of brothers in arm's that are getting more angry by the day. The bluebloods better watch their back, because, as history has shown, ain't nothing more dangerous that a bunch of pissed off average white folk. Take that to the fuckin' bank.

because you're delusional and feel victimized:

I think ET attracts more than its fair share of the entitlement crowd because people who are too lazy to make their own way in a traditional career come here thinking they'll strike it rich sitting on their butts trading. Little do they know...

Quote from Trader666:

First, you didn't quote Franklin, you just think you did by parroting something that's attributed to him but not sourced.

Second, I doubt Franklin would agree with neo's absurd statement that I quoted above.

Finally, if you had a clue about Franklin in general and his role in the Constitutional Convention in particular, we wouldn't be having this exchange.

It is completely obvious to just about anyone in politics that a Democracy will destory a Republic. Is it naive to say that I will die if I jump off a skycraper? No, but it is painfully obvious and a worthless comment and for some reason the word naive came to mind. Do I actually think Ben Franklin as a person was naive? Of course not! There is also a difference between calling a quote naive and calling a person naive which means that your hissy fit is definitely not warranted.
