Here is Bush with Putin... based on your logic he is giving in to the Russians.

Crawl out from under the rock... It's the 21st century.

Quote from Mag Light:

i suggest you do the same.

"This explanation reminds one of Bush’s hand-holding/kissing sessions with the same Saudi monarch, which some insist exonerate Obama’s bow. Not so; as the Greek historian explains above, such behavior is representative of equal rank in Eastern cultures.

As for Obama’s conduct, Herodotus continues, “yet if one is of much less noble rank than the other, he falls down before him and worships him.”

wise up.

Is an American president higher than other leaders of other countries?

What makes us so much more superior?

Stop confusing respect with rank. We are not in the Middle Ages anymore. All man is created equal. :p

Quote from Mag Light:

you are confusing respect with submission. :D

No nerve hit... don't worry. I have a lot of patience.

Explain to me what Bush was doing with members of the Bin Laden family? They were safely escorted from the US back to Saudi Arabia several days after 9/11 too.

That's submission too... letting the enemy run. At least hold them for interrogation. And that's much more significant than bowing to someone.

Quote from Mag Light:

is bin laden the enemy or his entire family due to guilty by association? what exactly are you implying? or are you simply trying to divert attention away from the fact your messiah is a liar and closet muslim who bowed to his king, a fact you have not disputed?

My messiah is Ron Paul.

Is that you Landis? He defends Obama tooth and nail, and then claims to be a big Ron Paul guy. This of course makes no sense since the two couldn't be any further apart as far as political philosphy is concerned. Now we have Monty21 doing the same thing and making the same claim. I smell BS.

Quote from Mag Light:

LOL!!! then why are you defending the likes of obongo?????

I defend him for dumb things that are addressed... some of which (economy for instance) were inherited from the Bush administration.

I HATE T.A.R.P and I HATE that Bush and other Republicans initially supported it. I do think Obama was a better candidate than McCain. McCain would be a continuation of Bush's foreign policy and he admittedly said he knew little about the economy. The Republican Party is no longer fiscally conservative anyhow.

Ron Paul is one of the few real Republicans left. Bush and McCain should've been registered as Democrats.

I defend Obama when people make absurd claims that he is acting submissively to a Saudi.

I hate TARP, and will not defend him in that respect. But its too soon to judge his effect on the economy... most of it was inherited by Bush anyway.

I don't view the world as black and white as some people do. Some of Obama's policies are good, others are bad. Just because I am a traditional Republican doesn't mean I have to be critical of EVERYTHING that Obama does.
