Obamacare’s Bait and Switch Has Left Consumers Scrambling

What I see is yes ok the deductibles are higher. Some Insurance company go from the 90% coverage for health care (after deductible is paid) and 10% is paid by the employee to the 80% coverage by insurance and the 20% is paid by employee.
(But) you forget Obama put the (LIMIT) on the out of pocket costs to you. So once you reach that limit of paying out of pocket, then the insurance company have to pay (NOT) 80%, but 100% of the health care. So really Obama protect people from catastrophic costs.

$5,000-$8,000 annual deductibles are pretty catastrophic...I had a catastrophic plan for many years with deductibles in the $2500-$3000 range and the monthly premiums were minor...IOW, this garbage product is a combination of high up front premiums with worse than catastrophic deductibles...

It appears that you do not have a professional job with corporate health insurance in the U.S. The majority of upper middle class working for companies in the U.S are furious with Obamacare for degrading their family health insurance.

Formerly most corporate professionals working in IT, etc. had option for plans that covered 100% of our medial costs with no deductibles. Over eighty percentage of the employees of my company selected this plan over lower cost plans. Now these 100% plans (which were standard in the industry for over 30 years) are considered Cadillac plans and thanks to Obamacare taxation they are no longer offered.

This means that we are now forced into 80% plans at much greater out-of-pocket & monthly costs with high deductibles. I pay more for health insurance than ever in my life before and get less coverage - thanks to Obamacare. In fact the note from our company about the changes stated that they are solely due to Obamacare including the monthly cost increase.

The discontent is widespread across professional workers - and this is what will eventually force changes to Obamacare (coupled with the bankruptcy of all the exchanges and all the insurance companies pulling out of it - UHC quit this week).

If someone have long term illness, or very bad accident that can be cost $50,000-$60,000 and much more, that is catastrophic. To pay your deductible + coinsurance to reach the (limit) of out of pocket cost for example $13,500.00, then 100% the insurance will pay for the balance.
I use $13,500.00 for my example because this is the maximum ACA allow for out of pocket cost to the people (I am not positive but I think is correct)

Go here https://www.healthcare.gov/apply-and-enroll/income-too-high-for-tax-credit/ and look what your income to family size to state show for if you can make your insurance lower. If your income is for example in NJ, and 3 people family and over the $80,000 than not apply.

So then you can go on that same link to ("Four ways you can buy a health plan" Click the drop bar to see "Plan Finder". Click on, then shop to compare.
