Obamacare Side Effect – Doctors Abandon the Health Care Insurance System Altogether

Personally, I think this is awesome. $3 for a cholesterol blood test? Bring on the cash only competition. Cut out and starve the insurance industry.

We had several local doctors in North Carolina who stopped taking any type of insurance - including a doctor in Apex, NC - who is viewed as one of the best family physicians in the region.

The 'cash' rates for a visit to these doctor's are very reasonable.

Let me say that it was not necessarily Obamacare that drove many of these doctor's away - it was all the insurance paperwork and low reimbursements.

An interesting change in the medical industry.
 
Paying cash for your healthcare has been and continues to be an option, despite the presence or absence of Obamacare.
