I don't think he sees you as "enemy".
When we are pissed enough, we tend to lash out temporarily at whomever is in our view.
Odumbo is a BIG FAT LIAR! Many were sucked-in by his campaign rhetoric and promises. Kind of like the scammy contractor who contracts to fix your roof.... then runs off with your deposit.
Lashing out, whether temporarily or not, is a good way to lose friends.

I've admitted many times that I've made the mistake of voting for Obama in 2008. I'm not sure what else I can say on the subject. I had just come back from being out of the country for years. I was caught up with the anti-Bush crap from all the European friends I had, and I had lost a lot of money in the 2008 crash. I was pissed off, and I bought into the fervor of Obama. I regretted it quickly, even posting about it here. Since then, I've done all I could to atone for it. But at least I had the balls to own up to a mistake, just to have it thrown in my face. Classy.
IMO you've paid your penance many times over.
Besides, as you pointed out. No one is perfect.
A lot of people were angered and put-off by Bush (including me). Odumbo made all kinds of promises as to how the was going to "fix things and would not be like Bush". Many people "ate that up". They wanted to "believe" and didn't suspect he was a BIG FAT LIAR.
You and I saw through all of that, but not everybody did.
Hopefully we'll vote smarter in the future.
