Obamacare Has ‘raped My Future,’ College Grad Says In Viral Letter

A 26-year-old university graduate penned an open letter this week expressing her deep displeasure with President Barack Obama’s signature health care law, saying it has “raped” her future — and now the letter is going viral.

Ashley Dionne, a recent college graduate, posted the letter detailing her experience with Obamacare on conservative radio host Dennis Prager’s Facebook page Monday. She said she received her bachelor’s degree in 2009 and went back to school for a second degree, but hasn’t been able to get more than 32 hours of work a week.

The letter was reposted by Prager later that night and has since been shared more than 1,000 times on Facebook.

Dionne told college news website Campus Reform she wrote the letter to warn the public of the problems with the Affordable Care Act.

“I wanted to get my message about Obamacare out, because I’m being directly and negatively affected by it, but I know it’s not just me,” Dionne said. “Obamacare will make my life more difficult.”

She added, “It will hurt more people than it will help.”
 
Max, I have spent a lot of time in hospitals the last 4 months (sick family member) and every visit there I talked to doctors, nurses, ER staff, etc and asked them their thoughts on Obamacare. I could not believe that every single one of them to the person believe this piece of legislation will destroy our healthcare industry. I mean these are not necessarily right wing people. I've always thought of people in medicine being at least centrist if not center left. The left is defending this bill only to save face for their President. Nobody with a brain or a conscience can say this is a good law.

I could go on about my experiences in the hospital and the dramatic changes coming our way. Be VERY careful if you have any elder family members who are going to need medical care. They are about to be in a world of hurt, no pun intended.

"The doctor is . . . skeptical about the Affordable Care Act. And clueless, too.

"A new survey shows that an overwhelming percentage of physicians don't believe that their states' new health insurance exchanges will meet the Oct. 1 deadline for those key Obamacare marketplaces to begin enrolling the uninsured.

"Just 11 percent of doctors believe those exchanges will be open for business that day.

"But those doctors, by a wide margin, also said they are "not at all familiar" with how a number of important aspects of those exchanges and plans offered on them will work—aspects that will directly affect their bottom lines. More than 65 percent of them gave that answer to all but one of the questions asking their familiarity with plan benefits levels, contracted rates with insurers, patient coverage terms and the claims process."

This woman's lack of full time employment has nothing to do with Obamacare, it has to do with her having worthless degrees, no useful skills, and no work ethic.

In California earning as much as she claims she would qualify for Medi- Cal (State program that doesn't pay for anything)

If she would make $10.00 per hour she would qualify for Enhanced Silver Coverage: ≈94%

Exactly. I am not a big fan of Obamacare, but we should discuss the health program's merits based on facts, not on absurd letters like this woman's with fabricated claims and untruthful information.

Forgot to add that her payment would be around $20.00 per month
 
This is just another Max shriek. I can't see dumping on the kid, even though you're probably right about her actual circumstances--this generation of young people is suffering terribly as a result of the recession. We should have had a "YPWPA" (young persons WPA) going two years ago.
