You do know the former president Obama had a biological father, later a step-father and a grandfather (his mother side of the family)…
All of whom he has referred to
as his father only because he has a very close relationship with all three due to the fact..
They actually raised him at different points in his life. For example, his maternal grandfather raised him since 10 years old. In college, he has sometimes referred to any one of them as
his father.
Obamas grandfather (Stanley Armour Dunham born 1918) did in fact serve in the U.S. military (Army as a sergeant)…he enlisted after the attack on Pearl Harbor by serving in Europe during WWII.
Military people know the above as factually true… conspiracy theorist QAnon cult members ignore the above fact…an insult to those that have served.
Another military fact…the term “African American” was first used by an abolitionist in a sermon during the revolutionary war between the American colonials and Britain) although the term Negroe was commonly used.
My grandfather (WWII) and great-grandfather (WWI) both served as Officers. They mention in their military journals about enlisted soldiers under their command…
Italian Americans, Native Americans, African Americans, and Asian Americans although I am clueless to why they segregated Italian Americans from European Americans in their military journals but I do know they were not allowed to command European Americans in WWI that were not Italian.
For the record, the United States did not recognize Indigenous as Native
Americans until The Indian Citizenship Act of 1924, (43 Stat. 253, enacted
June 2, 1924).
We were not consider a citizen of our own land until 1924 and we could not be drafted in WWI.
Regardless, about 12,000 volunteered but only after the U.S. allowed them to join after the U.S. asked the tribes to declare war on Germany…
Further insult, they were not allowed to speak their native language outside of the reservation while European Americans and Asian Americans were allowed to speak their language in America…
Anyways, WWI changed how Congress viewed Native Americans on their own land upon returning home from WWI especially after their way of fighting Nazis (message coders and volunteering for dangerous assignments as snipers or scouts).
Later influencing the U.S. military to recruit college educated Native Americans for WWII.
Today,
we prefer the phrase
Indigenous American and in my other 1/2 heritage…
French American is also preferred instead of European American although my mom prefers Franco-Américains because she is French and from France when she married an American Lakota officer during Vietnam.
P.S. As a veteran of the U.S. military and 4th generation military family…its a shame those like you are allowed to regurgitate your
conspiracy theory bullshit especially when you attack family members of those that served honourably in the U.S. military.
I did not vote for Obama…did not vote at all while participating in the political elections of France and Canada but I do recognize a
dickhead that attack family members of an ethnic minority that served his country (United States of America) even when his country would not consider him human in most of the south during WWII.
