Obama told congress that the U.S. role in Libya is so limited that he doesn't need congressional approval.

I think if there is just one plane, one ship, one sailor or one marine still involved he needs congressional approval.

This shows how both Bush and Clinton did get implied consent from Congress for all their wars. Of course the Democrats then chickened out of the Iraq war later.

Obama is the first President to completely ignore this act of Congress.

Obama and Hillary were overheard talking about how they thought 8 years of being a dictator would be enough for them. They didn't see how the monarchs in the middle east go on for 30 or 40 years. We'll see if Obama feels the same when he's voted out from his "King" position next year.

Obama chances rise almost daily as the GOP continues stumbling trying to find a candidate. The most electable ones, Mitt andd Jon have histories that could keep them from the nomination. EG-Romneycare.

I suppose if our military assets are assigned, allocated and under the control and direction of Nato no new act or approval of Congress is required. Everything slides in under existing congressional resolutions and by the authority already granted therein.
