Correction , fdr our first communist wanna-be dictator who implemented the biggest ponzi scheme ever known to man, not only caused the depression to linger for years beyond the norm , used it for his own political gamesmanship so egregiously that it took his zealous desire for war to take the nations attention off the results of his imposed domestic agenda fiasco.
Thankfully WWII essentially ended the extreme policies of the communist co-opting new deal.

The recession was started when it became obvious Obama would be the next President.
Obama care as you call it will be a disaster if it happens.
And Obama has not ended any wars but he has escalated one.
