Obama won't last 2 years...

Quote from Lucrum:

Actually Truman had the lowest Gallup poll approval numbers. And the lowest average. Second lowest average approval rating was Carter.

Second lowest approval rating was Nixon followed by Bush.

There wasn't a Gallup poll before the mid 30's. I've read that if there was, Hoover might have had the lowest approval rating.

Again these are Gallup only numbers.

Interesting, I was going by memory. Johnson decided to not

run for reelection you'll recall, which may have stopped the slide.

Just a guess.

Quote from monty21:

If Bush can last in office for 8 years with all the corruption in his administration... Obama could stay in office for 5 terms if the law permitted it.

What corruption? And don't bother to mention that trumped up shit about Plame either.

And what's kinda funny is that G.W Bush holds the record for the highest rating. Truman is in 3rd. The voters sure are a fickle bunch.

Highest approval rating

George W. Bush holds the record with 90% (9/21-22/2001 -- after the September 11 attacks).
George H. W. Bush is second highest, with 89% (2/28/-3/3/1991 -- after the Persian Gulf War).
Harry S Truman is third highest, with 87% (6/1-5/1945 -- after V-E Day).
Franklin D. Roosevelt is fourth highest, with 84% (1/8-13/1942 -- after Pearl Harbor).

Looks like they put it aside for wartime. Bush had a lot of

controversy his last term. I wonder who would have won if

Perot never entered the race?

Only 42% voted for Clinton so I guess he wouldn't have been elected.

Quote from Mercor:

As long as there are people like you out there Obama's ratings will never go down.

I'd vote for Obama over Mark Stanford,David vittor,Larry Craig,George bush,dick Chaney,Sarah palin,bobby jindal,mark foley etc any day

Quote from peilthetraveler:

I thought Abraham Lincoln was the most unpopular president ever. I mean...it was during his presidency that we had a civil war, right? I mean things were not that bad with us with bush. We didnt hate him so much that the democrats took up arms against the republicans.

I'm sure the slave owners were hooting and hollering when lincoln was assasinated, the same way the Obamanites were hooting and Hollering when Bush got out of office.

funny you mentioned that. actually they were... I wonder how peggy's doing right about now... how bout now!
