Bullshit. The criminal element (and false flaggers, as confirmed and reported) that attached itself to decent protesters was a tiny segment of the people there and who were causing harm. City and state officials said so themselves.

If protests are legal why did the police ask them to move if they were just standing there?
If you are such a big proponent of Constitutional rights then you should be very careful about the police who have the most license to violate your rights at any moment using any justification.
Again, when the armed people stormed the state capital in violation of the curfew, why didnt the police gas them to get them out of there and to go home?
You keep mentioning looters and rioters but the police were not gassing looters and rioters in most of the cases, they were doing it to people marching.
Police should be limited in their powers to decide in one case we need to obstruct yor rights but in others we are ok with it.

These cops handled this poorly, that's for sure. But she is resisting an order to disperse. The cop is kicking her shoulder to get her to roll over and be handcuffed. Still, they need to be aware how this looks to further enrage the crowd.
