I think the attack was a staged attack and that is why there was no response. Amb Stevens had been collecting documents on US involvement with Al Qaeda in the entire Libya operation of the past year. Bad things happen when you go looking for the truth. Those involved in Syria better not look into who is working with Al Qaeda there.

What we now know with absolute certainty is that the administration knew this was in no way a result of the video. They knew this beyond any shadow of a doubt, and yet that's the story they pushed from day one. So we can conclude with absolute certainty they were guaging the political winds right out of the gate.
We also know with absolute certainty that the major players/decision makers were watching this evolve in real time. We know with absolute certainty that there was enough time to send some type of military response/rescue effort. We know with absolute certainty that someone decided to not do that.

If that's the case, someone disobeyed a direct order from the Commander in Chief, and did so during a time of war. This person did so in front of witnesses. That seems unlikely considering the consequences of such an action. There is also specualtion that one of the two drones were armed.

Someone decided that the lives of these four Americans just weren't worth saving under those circumstances. Disappointing, but not at all surprising considering the policy of this administration, which has one and only one priority. Life saving measures no expense spared no matter the monetary cost or burden to society for an "amoeba" unless there is a poltical implication...well...then....that's different, "we didn't have all the facts and the fog of responsibility."

There is one sure way to rebut these charges and that would be for the MSM to do some investigative reporting. Instead, they have chosen to remain silent and willfully ignorant from the get go. If there was a postive on this for Obama you can bet your last buck the MSM would be all over it. The fact that they're not is very telling. Very telling indeed. They don't want the details and specifics as it would be very damning to their chosen candidate.
Obama won't even talk about it. He's probably counting the minutes until election day hoping nothing more comes out about this tragedy occuring while he ordered everyone to just sit on their hands.
I'm beginning to think that the Admiral who has been called back to Washington from the Stenis group might have been ready to disobey Obama's order to stand down and had to have others talk him out of taking action himself. I don't know but that seems logical. Everyone just doing nothing does not seem logical.
