obama once said getting his agenda done was more important than a 2nd term. maybe he figures he needs more time to turn america into a socialist nanny country.

He'll more than likely get a second term too. Clinton wrote the playbook on how a relatively unpopular incumbent President gets elected to a second term, "Triangulation." You'll see Barry go to that more and more over the next two years. In fact he's already started this strategy in the recent tax debate. Barry doesn't have the force of personality that Clinton had but he's still gonna use the technique.

If there happens to be a left-wing challenger for the Democratic nomination (which I HIGHLY doubt) Barry will simply follow the Nixon playbook of running to left for the primary and running to right for the general election.

No doubt. At this point his only job is to get re-elected and he will do anything to get it.
