Obama Tries To Block Boeing Move To SC

Quote from PocketChange:

OK.. lets slow down for a second.

Boeing is subject to a NLRB complaint for retaliating against its labor unions. Here is a copy of the NLRB Complaint: Complaint

This hearing is scheduled for June 14th.

"The Acting General Counsel seeks an Order requiring Respondent to have the Unit operate its second line of 787 Dreamliner aircraft assembly production in the State of Washington, utilizing supply lines maintained by the Unit in the Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon, area facilities. (b) Other than as set forth in paragraph 13(a) above, the relief requested by the Acting General Counsel does not seek to prohibit Respondent from making non discriminatory decisions with respect to where work will be performed, including non-discriminatory decisions with respect to work at its North Charleston, South Carolina, facility. "

The relief requested is not to shut down the SC operations but to preserve the second line operations and supply lines in Washington.

That's not the essential problem here. If there were no unions in the first place, then only the <del>masters</del> bosses would get to make these decisions and we'd have a lot less trouble.

One of my neighbors works for a medium-sized manufacturer in California that was considering opening a facility in Texas. Yesterday they put those plans on hold. Opening the second plant in another country is now being considered. I don't know how this will turn out, but there's no question that this government action will effect the decision making of companies across the country for years to come.

Quote from AAAintheBeltway:

Whatever the ultimate decision in the lawsuit, the very existence of the dispute will change the business landscape here in the U.S. for the next decade or two.

"... The community organizer is one of the worst presidents in the history of this country.

He does not act as "President of the United State"... he acts as the Grand Poobah of the Leftist/Socialist/Marxist/Communist faction of power hungry tit-suckers.. The rest of us, who pay for his grand illusions, can just GO TO HELL!

The bosses made the decisions and entered into contracts with labor unions. No one held a gun to their head..
