It's typical of Obama's leadership that he takes orders from the Saudis. I do recall him bowing before the Saudi king, so maybe that has something to do with it.

The Saudi's regard us no differently than they do their house servants. We are there to do things they prefer not to dirty their dainty hands with. Like killing Syrians. How many troops have they committed? How many sorties is their air force flying? Financing ISIS and al qaeda really doesn't count as "helping", even though they have put a lot into both organizations.

How many Syrian refugees have the Saudis and other wealthy gulf states taken in?

It's clear what is happening here. obama wants to punish Putin because Putin has shown him up, repeatedly. So to salve obama's hurt feelings, we give terrorists their dream weapon. Obama hopes they use them to take down russian fighters, but once they have them, they will be on the black market in no time.

The really scary thing is, just like in Libya, they have no end game. What if they managed to overthrow Assad? Then what? McCain's fantasy "moderate" opposition just takes over? Or another failed state controlled by islamist terrorists?

So far the only leaders dealing in an appropriate way with Islam are the Russians and the Chinese. In China Islam is even officially forbidden.
