I doubt if it would be bigger... and that's all small-fry stuff. Small business wanting to skim a couple of hundred even if daily.
I knew a guy who did that.. doubt he had a zapper though... started a restaurant and skimmed $300/day from the get-go. One day he asked me, "what to do with the money" (several hundred thousand cash lying around his house)... LOL..
They should start taxing all the phony "religious" organizations.
Fat douche Al Sharpton has barely paid any taxes in decades all under the guise of his bullshit Baptist ministry.
In the town where I grew up, some semi-jewish organization bought a massive chunk of land and they all live there tax free.

This is nothing new. Off shore tax havens do not exist, per the Patriot Act. Every dime you hide in 99.9% of the off shore tax havens are open to IRS and US Regulators.

Tax Shelters put into place by "Regan" are still alive. Of course you have to invest in these shelters "Projects" in order to receive any Tax benefits agains your ordinary income. Thus, 100% of your investment dollars used in one of the many DPP programs are written off, as well as 15/20 cents on every profitable dollar after cash on cash return, is tax free. The remaining amount is taxed as ordinary income.
However, there is one catch....you have to be a Qualifyed investor or you can't take advantage of these Tax Shelters.
So, Obama is doing nothing more than what the Patriot Act and IRS have been doing.

Maybe in the first year, but not after that. I'm not a tax lawyer and I can already think of several ways to avoid paying anything at all in year 2 forward. Wonder how much it will <i>cost</i> the feds to recover it. Even if it costs them nothing (which it won't), the amount recovered pales in comparison to the welfare the feds are set to hand out.
So far, everything coming out of the Obama camp will have the effect of discouraging investment in the United States and encouraging rich people to not only hide their wealth offshore (instead of investing it in the U.S.) but also to relocate themselves and their corporations offshore - ala Jim Rodgers.
Specific examples of these programs? Searching DPP, Reagan and Tax shelter returns nothing. I'm not aware of any of these 'projects'. Any links please?
