Take away your policy, raise your premiums and deductibles, change the laws we wrote as the need arises, do pretty much as we please

that's just NOT the way it works. In neither the Constitution nor traditionally is healthcare a right. If you want it to be a right then it needs to be amended to our Constitution, what's so hard to understand about that? If the States and our elected congressmen agree that it's a right and ratify an Amendment, then that's the way it is.
it's the opposite of the gun control debate. The loons like andrew cuomo and dianne feinstein who outright want to confiscate guns need to overturn the 2nd amendment for their proposed laws to be legitimate, because private gun ownership is, in fact, a Constitutional right and has been recognized throughout US history as such. see the difference?
Aside from the idea that requiring people to purchase insurance, is fucking stupid as it gives the insurers a license to steal.. the FACT is that State govts have more ambiguous authority than the fed govt under the US Constitution. There is nothing in there that gives the fed govt authority to force us to buy health insurance, or anything else.
The democrat insurance commissioner of Washington State told Obama to go pound sand.

And while we're laying blame for this ACA fiasco, let us not forget the one man who could have stopped it.
That man is Chief Justice John Roberts. Roberts, coward that he is, did this to avoid being attacked by leftists and to preserve the reputation of the SCOTUS. It did just the opposite. He violated his ethical duty to rule only on the law and not to be influenced by public opinion. Thanks John.
