Obama to address nation at 9 p.m. Eastern as stalemate on debt talks continues

Quote from Larson:

A very logical explanation of what is at stake. I especially appreciated the reference to the Constitution, which is what this is all about, proper representation. The democrats somehow have forgotten this key point.
in oct 08,when they needed to up the debt, the bill included...Indian employment credit....Extension of economic development credit for American Samoas...Tax incentive for development of D.C.......Provisions for film and television industry....7 Year cost recovery for motorsports racetrack.../Exemption for excise tax on wooden arrows..these are a few of many last time around. All this posturing and stalling is just a way of stuffing a bunch more payoffs into those bills, when those are agreed to,the bill will pass...the boys on the hill don't give 2 hoots about the american people...the deficit...the constitution...don't kid yourself...they are the ones who put us in this mess

Quote from tradingjournals:

The President is very clever, and is making a move that the republicans will not forget for a long time--- He is handing their asses to them. No matter what happens, the republicans will be rightly responsible. He will win his deal-- If it does not go well, their delays will be pointed to in election time, and if it goes well the president will reap the benefits. My hat to you Barack!

Remember folks all this mess came from the republican W. He inherited a surplus, but ended his term with the worst bear market in recent history, if not in all history.

Exactly. George Bush put us in this mess. Obama's doing a stand up job. Boehner blamed it on Obama. That guy needs a history lesson. Clinton ran a surplus. GWB fried it. Republicans need to realize they're the problem

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

bush....clinton.....clinton.....bush.....bush......obama.....next minion puppet of the central banks!

obama was ALWAYS just another DECEPTION to CON the typical timid and docile masses (stuck in the "planned" false left/right two party paradigm)..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAaQNACwaLw

oh seriously? You still taking potassium iodide too?

As I mentioned many times before...I had no reason to take it in Texas. I have it in my home if ever needed (several reactors right in my area).

BTW, you have absolutely no "in the field" real life experience, and that alone sets you up as just another "coucher" who gets all their primary news (information) from your masters. Keep LOVING your minion puppet CON JOB and see where that will get you (and this fiscally trashed country). If you ever could see FIRST HAND how the REAL world works you would be laughing hysterically at yourself!

Enjoy THEIR reality THEY are creating for you.....non thinker.

I hope you are still a kid who has some growing up to do. If you are an adult and you still believe this sort of bullshit, you are beyond pathetic.

shhiiit..so to keep the AAA rating US have to borrow even more and bury itself in more debt? i thought it should be exact opposite-cut deficit, cut spending and keep AAA rating and value of the dollar..
sounds like a plan! thank you mister president! ask some folks from 2005-8 housing boom\bust how it's worked for them..

about time..i'm sick and tired to see those 0.5% "high interest" checking accounts adds..and zero for my money at the bank

lol, I know. These idle threats of "interest rates spiking". I envision the dying class of net savers to be gleeful at the prospect.

What a fucking farce all of this is.

The problem with Boehner's statement is that too many people realize his own party's proposal is also a big business-as-usual spending increase. If someone would actually propose something meaningful, this "debate" might have some value. Until then, it's more of the same-old same-old.

Obama is daring the GOP and Tea Party to propose real cuts, specific cuts, knowing they'll blink first.

No fiscal courage anywhere in sight...on either side...
