Americans don't care to have a wimp in the White House. They'll take almost any outlandish vulgarity from their commander-in-chief and give him a positive job-rating. But wimpishness? No.

Until Obama, the last president to earn wimp ranking was Jimmy Carter whose chances of re-election 30 years ago expired when he gave wimpish speeches about America's "malaise" and was photographed beating off a rabbit that swam up to his canoe and tried to board it.

Record Breaker! Bush Takes Most Vacation Days For Sitting President

President Bush recently spent his 879th day at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, since the Supreme Court, in all its great wisdom, elevated him to the presidency. This according to NPR's "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me," which noted that Bush broke former President Reagan's record for taking vacations from the White House.It's interesting to recall, all these wild years later, that George W. Bush did not decide to buy the ranch near Crawford until after he decided to run for president. Apparently, after Ronald Reagan's example, it seemed presidential to cut brush on a ranch, and Bush was seeking a brush with history. Or something.

Funny considering that the republicans are the party of chickenhawks. And to think the greatest chickenhawk of them all is the star in a lot of the war movies during Memorial Day.

Actually, revisionist, Carter never used the word "malaise". That was the so-called "liberal" MSM's label of a speech he gave.

As to the rabbit incident, most aggressive, unprovoked rabbits are rabid. What would YOU have done?
