Obama Tells Entrepreneurs “You Didn’t Build” Your Business

Quote from hughb:

... Romney just needs to release his older tax forms to get it out of the way, and the sooner the better.
As soon as Obama releases his college, health etc records, as well as the Fast & Furious documents that Issa et al ask for... sure, why not :D

Quote from clacy:

Where did the tax dollars for roads and infrastructure come from?

From taxing successful people.

Also, you act like only rich people are able to use this infrastructure and rule of law.

The fact is that the overwhelming majority of all tax dollars are coming form successful people that have taken advantage of good infrastructure in some capacity.

Anyone who is employed is benefiting from a business that is benefiting from this infrastructure.

True but America was built up by hard working Americans over many generations, for the rich to seek to avoid taxes and leave nothing for future generations and just dodge taxes, I think, is unacceptable. An if the American people choose to let them do this their country will end up slowly going down the toilet.

Let's try to rephrase that, see how it sounds from the other side:

True but America was built up by hard working Americans over many generations, for the gimee-gimee-if-you-want-my-vote Dem slaves to seek to avoid any responsibility and leave nothing for future generations and just dodge work, innovation and risk taking, I think, is unacceptable. An if the American people choose to let them do this their country will end up slowly going down the toilet.

If the politico's would get their shit together and address the SPENDING side of the equation, I'm sure that a more palatable discussion about the actual necessity for raising taxes would be in order. As it stands now, it's a complete stalemate because both political parties refuse to even acknowledge the 800lb gorilla in the room.

Last summer's bullshit melodrama was pure kabuki theatre. Lots of political grandstanding and very little focus on the myriad issues with this runaway tax and spend economy.

Ghetto Monster Gangsta's have access to roads and bridges and they not only don't produce anything, they don't pay income taxes...

Don't have to be income taxes to make their way to construction projects.

During the Great Obama Depression, Obama is gonna be mighty sorry he said "you didn't build that company"

Because when the Great Obama Depression hits, a lot of people are gonna say that the owners of the company "didn't destroy the company. Obama did".

Right, so you'll admit that there are hordes of miscellaneous taxes that take a bite out of everyone's wallets.

Next time you get on your soapbox about raising taxes on the rich, it would be wise to take note of just how many of these "miscellaneous" taxes have been hiked to absurd levels in recent years, whereby making the "cumulative effect" of taxation more onerous.

Your quote marks are in the wrong place, so you have misquoted him.
