Do you trust an editorial written in the New York Post by a guy who has been caught "fabricating information" about a public meeting that happened months before this supposed great revelation?
I don't.
I don't.

i dont see anything wrong with that question. why should a lame duck president be able to lock in a policy that would effectively counter what the possible winning party wants to do. the elections are close enough that we should let whoever wins set the terms for how fast we withdraw.
bush would probably lock us into a very slow drawn out withdrawal while obama wants a faster one. why should a lame duck bush be able to make that decision?Quote from AAAintheBeltway:
But withdrawal IS obama's policy. It's not like Bush was committing us to a greater presence. Then Obama wouldhave a point. He just wanted to make it look like he could do it and Bush couldn't. Of course, it's not exactly news that a democrat would put politics above the troops' welfare.

what if mccain wins and has different ideas than bush. wouldnt he deserve the right to do that? or are you saying that mccain and bush are lock step on the war. it thought mccain was saying change is coming to washington.Quote from OldTrader:
Because he's Commander in Chief? LOL.
Was Obama authorized by Congress to negotiate shit?

i seem to remember a bunch of you right wingers getting pissed at clinton when he signed a bunch ov executive orders right before he left.Quote from OldTrader:
The bottom line is that the President is elected for 4 years. There is no provision that says he should stop making decisions at some point prior to the election. Makes no difference to me who wins. One thing we know for sure though is that Obama isn't authorized to make any decision at all, by anyone...the electorate, the Congress, or anyone else.
Just pointing out what should be obvious.
