Obama received $101,332 Bonus from AIG

Quote from power:

Is this the reason why Barack Obama is giving more bail-out money to bankrupt companies than George Bush?.

Quote from NeoRio1:

You didn't even address the fact that Obama received 100K from AIG.
What I mean is that bankrupt companies Citigroup, AIG, Fannie and Freddie, GM, Chryseler and others must have contributed towards Barack Obama Political campaign (donations).

So today Barack Obama is USA President from bankrupt companies money (to great extent).

What do you think about that thunderdog?
It was a political contribution before the fact. McCain got over $40k from AIG. What's your point? That you don't know what's what?

You're a teenager skipping remedial classes, aren't you?

Meanwhile, Democrat Sen. Chris Dodd, who is the largest recipient of AIG donations (total: $281,400), is now leading the charge to tax the retention payments in order to recoup the $450 million the company is paying to employees in its financial products unit.

But Dodd, it turns out, was for protecting AIG’s bonuses before he was against them. During the Senate porkulus negotiations last month, Dodd successfully inserted a tiny amendment that provided for an “’exception for contractually obligated bonuses agreed on before Feb. 11, 2009,’ which exempts the very AIG bonuses Dodd and others are seeking to tax.”

Don't you think the reason why Paulson and Bernanke were panicked in the fear of chain reaction to the whole economy that are at risk to collapse (regardless this fear was true or not) and they have to make the bailout or because those companies had contributed to Obama election campaign?

It would make some good theatre (something, the only thing, Obama is concerned with) to give his money back.

It would be a bold statement and probably get a few more votes from the non working, scratch-off class.

God you are dense.

The point is that Obama received money from the companies that he is now spending billions of tax payer money on.

Don't you see the correlation and corruption?

If you really think Obama supports these bailouts for the greater good of Americans then you are extremely naive.

What you guys are talking about? Bonuses for employees' performance and political contribution aren't the same. Yes, some employees deserve the bonuses but with the current circumstances they shouldn't be receiving. It's sad for them, but they have to accept the reality. Regarding political contribution, did AIG was already bankrupt when they made that contribution? But anyway every company has the right to contribute (invest) for their country.

Yeah your right, bonuses are earned according to compenstion agreements so AIG's payment to Obama is really a bribe.

Obama should give his bribe back.
